Man Seen Forcing Woman Into Stolen Van: Campbell Police

CAMPBELL, CA —Campbell Police are seeking information about a "suspicious incident" involving a transit van that was stolen from a Home Depot in San Jose. Police say a man and a woman were arguing outside the van on August 22 around 2:50 p.m. The van was stopped in the middle of the road near West Campbell Avenue and La Vonne Drive. Witnesses told police they heard the woman yelling "I don't want to get in" and "I hate you" while struggling with the man, who allegedly forced her into the van. Campbell Police released video footage of the interaction. Police say officers tried to stop the van, but the driver left the scene at high speed. The van was last seen northbound on Winchester Boulevard. Police say it is a 2019 white Ford transit van with California license plate 04135W2. The van has "Gijon Logistics, Inc." in black letters on both sides. The man, identified as the driver and a suspect, is described as a black man around 30 years old who is bald and was seen wearing a bright blue t-shirt and dark jeans. The woman is described as white, in her mid-twenties and wearing a gray tank top and gray shorts.
