Description: Machine shop is looking for a Janitor, or custodian, to take care of our building, carry out cleaning, and maintenance duties. Pickup and deliver for all jobs and supply the company needs. Be a general help in the machine shop.
Typical time spent on each process
Shop Hand 30%
Janitor 30%
Driver 40%
Required duties include:
·Performing delivery and pick up
·Janitorial work
·Assistant to the supervisor
Candidate must:
·HAVE CLEAN DMV RECORD
·Speak fluent English
·Have a good attitude
·Bring DMV print out at time of application
·Be able to lift 50 pounds.
Ideal candidate will have:
·Driving experience
·Ability to drive forklift
·Ability to understand directions
·Be good at communicating.
Driving responsibilities (shipping clerk)
·Pick up and Deliver jobs according to the “Pick-up / Delivery List”.
·Prepare finish jobs for shipping
·Load/Unload customer
·Truck Maintenance, ex. Oil, water, belts, tires, registration, insurance paperwork
Clean shop floor as necessary
· Work on special organizing project per Foreman, or Manager request
· Clean Restrooms Weekly
· 5 rooms, clean toilets, add toilet paper and hand towels when needed,
· floors, sinks, mirrors, sweep floor, and take out trash.
· Take out trash daily (office and shop)
· Sweep and mop office floor
· Change burned light bulbs and repair broken lights
· Reports any maintenance concerns or repairs
· Properly dispose of oil, grinding sludge and waste water, dump ID Grinding oil weekly
· Sweep and kill weeds in the front of building
· Clean chips from all machines
· Work on special organizing project per Foreman, or Manager request.
· Reports any maintenance concerns or repairs
