Carpinito Bros Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze, and Farm Fun Yard is seeking a full-time instructor for our weekday field trips in October. For over 25 years, our fall event has been one of the premier pumpkin patch destinations in the Puget Sound. We are pursuing a self-motivated, creative, vocal, enthusiastic and energetic individual to assist in making our field trips continue to be one of the best around! As a field trip instructor, your primary role will be to educate early elementary aged children about farming basics, a brief history about our farm, Q&A, and to engage with the children with other sensory activities and segments. All curriculum will be taught and provided well in advance. A background in early childhood education is a plus! This position will also be responsible for guiding groups through the fun yard, coordinating groups on site, occasionally operating a cash register, and other job-related duties that may arise. SKILLS REQUIRED: • Friendly and upbeat attitude • Professional appearance • Ability to relate to children in an entertaining manner • Highly dependable • Creativity • Patience with children • High intuition • Good problem-solving skills • Experience working with preschool/early elementary aged children The field trip instructor will work 30-40 hours per week from late September through the end of October, with additional hours available if desired.
