Check out the details at www.mandosoft.com/lessons Short description of the Swing Guitar class (more details at the link above): ***** Swing Guitar class ***** If you've ever played folk music, bluegrass, country or rock, and of course swing and jazz, you already know the basic chords, so we'll build on that to learn the swing chords, 6s, 9s, diminished, augmented, all that stuff. Not much theory, don't worry. Using common swing tunes as examples we'll learn the closed-position movable chords, and also look at standard progressions and turn arounds. And how to use chord substitutions to "swing up" a simple song. We'll also talk tone and feel and how to play with other musicians, in jams or bands, including the right hand technique and rhythm patterns, and La Pompe used in Gypsy jazz. And if you want to work on soloing we'll look at on practical tips you can use right away.
