Hiring Personal Assistant to Myrmecologist (part time, independent contractor) Leaf House Scientific LLC is a small company which specializes in presenting the lives of ants and other invertebrates through exhibition and film. We are looking for an organized, self-motivated person who can assist with operations and growth of this unique company. Tasks will include: • Cleaning/Maintenance of lab and shop • Product research, purchase, returns • Running errands • Bookkeeping • Creating spreadsheets and documents • Fabrication of habitats and miniature film sets • Ant keeping (if interested) Qualifications: • Must be proficient writer and communicator with own computer • Proficiency with Google/Microsoft suite and generally good with computers • Must have own transportation • Flexible schedule is preferable • Ability to think on your feet and handle direct feedback • Be able to make a document that looks nicer than this job posting • Take instruction without issue Compensation: Probation period: First three months at $15/hour (freelance work). Increased pay and responsibilities will be discussed by the end of the probation period. Offering roughly 10 hours/week with more hours available to some candidates.
