Description

We have a lot of water hyacinth covering our fish pond and would like to pass some of it along to those who could use it. It's a floating fish pond plant that provides great cover for fish and cuts down on algae. It spreads easily but does not overwinter so there's no risk of it becoming invasive in Maryland. It has rubbery dark green leaves and spiky purple flowers. I can put it in a big rubbermaid tub at the end of our driveway -- please bring a plastic bag or bucket to put it in (leave my tub!); otherwise, your car will get wet. Contact me for the address.
