The Friends of the Cedar Rapids Public Library large fall book sale will be held Oct. 1 through 3 at the Cherry Building, 329 10th Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids. Thousands of good-quality discounted books of many genres will be offered. All money raised goes to the CR Library's literacy programs. Hours will be: Noon to 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 1; 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2; Noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3. Admission: $5 on Friday, $2 on Saturday, and free on Sunday Children under 12, free.
