Ollie is a 6 year old mixed breed dog who has experienced many health issues over the years. He's been taken to the vet numerous times, prescribed medication and steroids but nothing has prevailed. His owners no longer have the finances or time to adequately care for a sick dog. We are rehoming Ollie to someone who can provide him the medical attention he needs and are willing to nurture sweet Ollie back to health. His entire body is excruciatingly itchy to the point he scratches and bites off all his hair. He's been treated for mange, fleas, and ticks. We've tried using different laundry detergents for his bedding, a change in diet, various topical ointments and regular bathing. Nothing seems to work and he is suffering. We also believe he may be blind in one or both eyes. He gets so friendly and excited when humans are around; however, he spends most of his time in his kennel, wrapped around a blanket. That appears to be the only thing comforting to him. Ollie is one of the smartest, most polite dogs you will ever meet. He waits patiently at the door when he has to go potty and has never displayed any sort of behavioral issues. He is still a young dog with lots of life left in him if he was given proper care.
