If your looking for your foot in the coal mines, this is where you start.  American Mining Academy is hosting MSHA 40-hr New Miner Training classes beginning Tuesday, September 7. Call or text to sign up. Why mining? - Higher than average wages - Plenty of opportunities to grow and advance - Interesting and exciting work! Summary: This training comprises of both classroom and practical training in our simulated mine. Prospective miners are taught a variety of skills including SCSR Don & Transfer, building stoppings, roof bolting, track installation and more. Students must bring their own steel toe metatarsal boots on the third day of class.
