This position exists to assist and perform the duties of all shop operations and provides information and direction to staff under the supervision of the Steel Project Manager.Some key responsibilities included but are not limited to: Layout, Fit-up, and Welding, as per approved shop drawings. Operation of steel fab machinery. Ability to delegate and ensure the completion of work given to shop staff. Assist with unloading and receiving of steel, and supplies for steel fabrication shop. Performs steel inventory duties and maintains organization of the shop storage room and its contents. Structural Steel Layout experience a must!
