We are seeking a "HANDS ON" Facilities Maintenance Technician who will assist in providing day-to-day maintenance. This individual will need to have a diverse mix of both hard and soft skills, particularly manual labor skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: Basic Plumbing knowledge to do simple plumbing repairs and upgrades. Basic/Moderate Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with equipment. Basic use of tools. Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Proper use and knowledge of various types of tools and equipment used in facilities maintenance and repairs. Safety is a must. Clean driving record (you will need to drive to local supply houses to get replacement parts/ tools) to be provided by you. Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm. Possible over time Saturday (optional.) On call, in case of emergency.
