Village Motors is seeking a dependable and qualified fulltime diesel mechanic to join our team to work on and maintain heavy trucks/tractors and other heavy equipment. Mechanic must follow safety guidelines and make safety a priority at all times. Candidate must have the ability to take direction and accept responsibility of the work they have performed. Working hours match business hours which are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm with the possibility of available weekend hours. Compensation based on experience and certifications. YOU MAY ALSO CALL 315-736-5400 Requirements • Must bring their own tools • Ready to start working promptly at 8am every weekday • Write up/review work orders and consult with customers as needed to identity issues • Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines, interpret results, and offer possible solutions • Develop work strategy to address identified issues • Conduct roadside service calls in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown • Test drive vehicles to diagnose issues and/or gauge their performance • Write up completed work orders including services performed and parts used for office records Benefits • 401k with company match • Healthcare available (medical and dental) • Vacation and sick time
