I agree we should be leery when trying to negotiate with terrorists. Trump made a "deal" with he Taliban just last year and got burned. The Taliban agreed to terms with Trump and then ignored their promises altogether. We currently have oi e huge advantage in dealing with the Taliban. The Taliban wants us out of Afghanistan as much as we want to be out. both parties in this deal want the same thing.
