This is a 4-day sunset and Astro-Landscape / Night Sky Workshop in Acadia National Park / Schoodic Peninsula / Bar Harbor. REGISTRATION for this Event is via EventBrite: payment is required to secure your spot Maine - Photo Vacation 2022 / Workshop Details: -This is a 4-day sunset and Astro-Landscape workshop in Acadia National Park / Schoodic Peninsula / Bar Harbor. -This workshop has been planned during the New Moon cycle for maximum visibility of the night sky. -Geared towards photographers of all skill levels and designed with a simple approach to avoid technical overload (please keep in mind this is not a Photo 101 class, you should have good working knowledge of your camera gear and how the Exposure Triangle works - Aperture, Shutter & ISO). Feel free contact us with any questions on equipment you may need before registering. -Physical Requirement: All locations we visit have areas with uneven terrain, sand, tree roots, rocks, tidal pools, and slick seaweed. This should be fine for anyone who is in decent shape but keep in mind you must be able to carry your own equipment at these locations. -Hands on "In Field" shooting with support for decision on camera settings, composition and varied techniques for each outing -Hands on classroom post processing techniques tailored to optimize results from your captured images. Workflow will include the use of Adobe Cloud Products - Lightroom, Photoshop, Adobe Camera Raw, Adobe Bridge* and the DXO NIK plugin (optional). -Workshop will be limited to 7 participants. Small group for better Instruction (Instructor is First Aid / CPR certified and Insured) -We will operate in Acadia National Park / Schoodic Peninsula / Bar Harbor -We will capture sunset & landscapes by day and shoot under the star filled sky at night. -Apps will be used for methods on planning for shooting under the best quality of light. -Post processing will be a Classroom scenario to establish your own workflow on the image capture techniques taught within the course -BYOL - Bring Your Own Laptop w/Lightroom & Photoshop fully operational Location / Field / Classroom Photographic Instruction -Full Frame camera is strongly suggested with a lens of at least f/2.8 or wider -Simplified philosophy and technique utilizing your camera manually on what photography is: ISO f/Stop (aperture) and Shutter. -Utilizing the above to make confident decisions and control the outcome of your images and vision -Guidance on the proper camera settings for your DSLR/Mirrorless for Night Sky / Milky Way capture, Long Exposures*, Exposure Stacking, Focus Stacking, Stacking for Noise Reduction and proper HDR capture. *at least a 10 stop Neutral Density filter is recommended for this. A polarizing filter is also suggested Workshop Cost -The Maine Photo Vacation 2021 Workshop will be $1,125.00 and registration will secure your spot. -Lodging, Transportation and Meals are not included.
