Description

We will learn the entire 3D workflow from model to finished print This class will cover how to take a 3d model of your own design or downloaded from the internet and make a physical part from it. We will take a model and learn to use slicing software to create a printer ready file. We will then run the file on the printer to produce the part. Each step in the process will be shown and any special considerations of particular parts will be discussed. This class is intended for those with little to no experience in 3d printing. If you wish to attend this class but cannot make the scheduled times, please contact the instructor at [email protected] to arrange another day and time that works for you. We can be very flexible. Instructor: Joe Bieniecki has been a maker for over 40 years and has been an avid 3d printer enthusiast for the past 5 years. Technocopia is a non-profit makerspace located in Worcester, Massachusetts. Our 11,000 sq. ft. facility offers common work space, rental bays, and a variety of tools for artisans to create and work with. We also host training classes and workshops which make use of our shared work areas including: a complete wood shop, metal shop, 3d printer station, electronics bay, glass flameworking shop, classroom, design studio, and our CNC mill and laser cutter shop! Every Thursday night we are open to the public for our Open Hacks and Crafts event.
