Help w/ Honda CRV key. New key works, old key starts car, then dies.

Hey there, I have a 2007 Honda CRV. I used a locksmith to unlock and cut a new key for my car. Now my old key will unlock (FOB is programmed correctly), but the key itself will only start the car. Then the green key-shaped light comes on and the car dies. I know it's a protective function, but surely there's a way to have two keys that both start the car. ? Let me know your fee and what you'll need to do. Thanks!
