Farm tour, tractor ride, farm-to-table dinner, and optional camping :) See where your meat comes from!Ever had a tour of the place you buy your meat? Now's our chance! Christiansen's Family Farm is where the Vegas Food CO-OP gets their meat! Join us for a day of a farm tour, tractor ride, and finishing with a dinner of amazing farm-to-table food! * There is no cost for this event! SHT has supported the farm for YEARS! But we do recommend maybe bringing a tip! Anything would be a great gesture! $20 or more if you want. What we'll be doing:Christiansen's Family Farm is on about 240 acres and so there is plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the fresh air. We will have a tractor tour/ride to check out the farm and animals.There will be activities for the kids, so please bring the family!We'll finish the tour with a nice farm to table dinner from the farm :)Afterwards we'll head to a camping spot to do some car camping. There are also AirBNB and hotel options available.Come see the farm and animals and learn about why farming and ranching is so important! there is also a cool state park in town for those who would like more to do.Tentative and probable timeline:Friday, Sep 17th, 10am departure for some. Some of us will be heading up Friday around 10am from Vegas to get a good camping spot at Ophir Canyon. You may also get an AirBNB or hotel.Saturday, Sep 18th, 7am departure for others. For those that want to drive up Saturday, it's about a 6 hour drive from Vegas. To get there by 2 we'll need to leave Vegas by 7am. As we get closer to the event, we'll assign someone in charge of heading up the carpool Saturday morning. Saturday 2:30 at Farm. Farm ride and tour starts at 2:30 at the Farm.Saturday 4pm dinner starts. Farm-to-table.Finished with Dinner by 5pm. Can linger around as long as we want.After dinner head to camping or AirBNB or hotel. We'll be finished with dinner by 5pm, heading over to our camping spot OR if you'd like to get an AirBNB or hotel locally there are options as well.When you RSVP, please specify whether you'd like to come up Friday morning or Saturday morning.
