Description

Understanding how trauma has impacted your foster or adopted child grows your compassion and tolerance for them. In this session, we will learn about how to help your child feel safe by incorporating the empowering strategies from Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRIĀ®). There is so much learning and development that happens when a child feels safe with the adults who care for him. If you attended the training in June on the impact of trauma, this training will go deeper into the caregiving strategies we can use for children from a hard place that demonstrate frustrating behaviors that can sometimes overwhelm us. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion. Limited childcare is ONLY available for ages 0-5 years. Please choose the "General Admission -With Childcare" ticket to register your child for childcare. Lunch is included. Fostering Hope (FH) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that works toward a healing home for every child in Texas. We do this by equipping families, churches and organizations to transform the lives of children.
