Are you ready to play some Underwater Hockey? Sign up today! The San Diego Sea Dragons are pleased to invite you to the 2021 Summer Cool Down/Warm Up for PCCs Potluck on Sunday, September 26th, 2021! The fee for this tournament will start at $45 per person. This gets you a reserved spot on a potluck team for Underwater Hockey fun all day from 7am to 5pm. With PCCs a few weeks out, this is your opportunity to get some UWH action and break off that COVID rust! If we get enough players in attendance, we can even have some opportunity for team scrimmage games, LA vs SD, OC vs PHX? We want everybody to play and participate as much as they can!  *Note: The San Diego UWH Club has declared that only vaccinated individuals can participate in this event. All players must acknowledge their Covid-19 Vaccination status when registering. The 'Fully Vaccinated' question on the order form refers to your vaccination status on the day of the tournament. If you will have received your second shot of the vaccine two weeks prior to the tournament, answer 'Yes' to the question. Otherwise, answer 'No'. All are welcome to attend, as well to the prior Thursday and following Tuesday practice. -Other points of interest: Downtown San Diego/Gaslamp Quarters, San Diego Padres/Petco Park, Balboa Park museums/attractions, Seaworld, Legoland, Old town, Ocean beach/Sunset Cliffs, Hotel Del/Corondao, Mission Bay and more... The San Diego Potluck Tourney Format is as follows: We utilize a pod system to mix and match teams all day with and against each other.  All players are split up into 8 equally distributed different pods.  A Hockey veteran committee is commissioned to rank players and pods evenly, based on experience and skill level.  Our goal is to have as much underwater social distant mingling as possible!!! We combine 2 pods to make a team for each game. For instance Pod 1 and 2 combine and face off between Pod 3 and 4.  First we will have a Round Robin, followed by playoff games, depending on how your pod ranks. For each game, the winning Pods collect points. 3 = win, 1= tie, 0=Lose, which will be used for seeding.  Tie breakers between Pods include Goals Against and head to head/common opponent matchups.  Once the Seeding is done, we will have playoffs games. POD 5 and 8 vs Pod 6 and 7, followed by POD 1 and 4 vs Pod 2 and 3.  This evens out the pods for some good final matches! The Pod finals may be adjusted to specific scrimmage games as decided by tournament organizers. Keep in mind, each pod will be scheduled to referee specific matches. This will be built into the schedule. This provides a great opportunity to learn other facets of the game and to hone your reffing skills making you a better player!  A ref-clinic will be offered to teach people the basics.
