Description
Join photographer and MOCA exhibition artist, Doug Eng for a walk in the UNF Nature Preserve while discussing photography techniques.
This workshop will discuss techniques to develop the ability to “see” through feelings and ideas rather than react to events or conditions. Nature provides the backdrop for this first walk, where students will take a short hike at Sawmill Slough on the UNF campus followed by a discussion of various ways to experience the natural landscape, then a shooting session with feedback provided by the instructor and then a wrap up and closing thoughts.
A phone camera is preferred as the class will be taking lots of pictures as if we were sketching. Please be familiar with how to take a picture with your phone or whatever device you decide to use. This is not a “how to use your camera” workshop.
The class will meet at the entrance to the Sawmill Slough Nature Preserve. Please park at the Parking Services Building parking lot. Workshops will begin promptly on time, please arrive accordingly.
