Full Time Shipping Lead Position North Berkeley Imports has been importing French and Italian wine for over 40 years and are seeking a long term addition to our retail shipping team in Berkeley. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, responsible and be willing to learn how to execute the job successfully. Past experience running or operating a fulfillment warehouse is an added plus but not necessary. This position is a vital role in our operation and we are looking for someone to transition into the role quickly. Responsibilities: -Receiving shipments from our warehouse 2 times per week -Organizing, correctly setting, packing and shipping retail wine orders -Maintaining a detailed list of held customer orders to be shipped later in the year -Breaking down boxes, keeping the shipping area clean and organized every day -Driving wine to and from our warehouse and wine shop in Berkeley -Clearly and reliably communicate with the sales team -Use Microsoft Excel to update shipping data weekly -Troubleshoot shipping problems directly with UPS, FedEx and other shipping partners -Order shipping supplies and manage in house inventory -Coordinate weekly local deliveries Qualifications: -Must be self motivated and detail oriented -Positive attitude and a willingness to learn new processes -Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Office -Must be able to lift and move 40lb boxes regularly -You will be expected to learn how to read French and Italian wine labels Hours – 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday in Berkeley, CA Competitive compensation based on experience Full suite of health benefits, partial matching 401k and paid time off offered with this position Deep employee discount offered on North Berkeley Imported wines Please send a resume and cover letter.
