Description
Any goat owners, or prospective goat owners, looking for a new buckling (or three)? We have a great mobile vet who can also turn these guys to wethers (great for pet goats!) when they are 6 months old.
They are 25% alpine/guernsey and 75% Nigerian Dwarf, which makes them F1 generation Mini-Guernseys. Guernseys are a rare, smaller standard size dairy goat from the British Isles.

This cross should give them a little taller stature than purebred Nigerian Dwarfs and they will pass on great milk genetics to their offspring, if you plan to breed them. (They are already practicing their breeding skills! They’ll be great at it! :-)
They are bred from registered livestock and are registered with the Miniature Dairy Goat Association (MDGA), under our farm name. They can also be registered with The Miniature Goat Registry (TMGR). (we have their dams dual registered with the MDGA and the TMGR)
They come from a clean herd, tested annually, and vaccinated. They are being dam raised, milk intake supplemented with free-choice alfalfa pellets and orchard grass, sneaking bites of their mom’s grain ration, and browsing in their yard. We are running tests on their moms and they will be dewormed, if needed. They will need their first CDT shot at 12 weeks.
They will be ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age - September 8th, for the black and black/white bucklings with blue eyes, and September 17th or the gold buckling with brown eyes. (The black colored buckling has gray moon spots!)
I’m happy to help new goat owners with sharing info and advice!
