Join thousands of like-minded SWFL community members to restore Truth, defend Democracy and decry those who stormed the capitol on Jan 6th. A note from Collier Freedom Bullies have no place in American democracy. Many have tried to dominate our Republic through lies, intimidation and violence, but they inevitably run out of steam. They may win a few rounds, but their stupidity catches up with them. Truth and America’s commitment to its Constitution inevitably quashes their dictatorial plans. When the curtain starts to descend on their dark and bigoted world, bullies lash out in rage and fear. We are witnessing that firsthand. Ugly narcissism is the bully’s principal strategy, but egomania always fails. The mob that attacked the Capitol took tens of thousands of photos of their own treason. Bullies adore superstition and conspiracies, but they will not destroy America. Collapse is their future, not ours. Wiser heads wait for bullies to make mistakes. The end of their time at the center of the stage is at hand. A new American era started on 1/20/21. A more just and inclusive society is coming. It won’t be perfect, but it’ll be better. We will be there, and we will stand in support of those meting out justice to these barbarians. Every day during the last lamentable administration and for decades prior to that, we and all who support social justice in our community have sung out for freedom, given voice to the disadvantaged, welcomed the stranger, lifted up the less fortunate, eschewed hate and embraced diversity. Collectively, our chorus of voices bends history toward justice. Our work is not done. Though we have made great strides, digging out of an economic crater caused by the prior administration, creating a more level playing field, fighting through Covid and returning a sense of moral leadership to the nation, we still have many fights before us. Climate Change is at a critical tipping point. Voting rights are under their most grave assault in 60 years. Those supporting the Big Lie are still trying to undermine our duly elected President. Unarmed black men and women are being slain by our police forces in record numbers. And here in Collier County there are individuals who wish to turn our community into an unconstitutional Sanctuary for the Unborn. We ask all who care about these and other issues to join us and carry the banner of equality, justice and inclusion forward. Join us on January 15 for the TRUTH & DEMOCRACY March & Rally Collier Freedom is a grassroots non-partisan, non-profit organization formed shortly after the election in November 2016.  Based in Naples, Florida, Our mission is to create an inclusive community regardless of race, nationality, faith or sexual orientation for a common vision of freedom, equality and social justice for all.  Collier Freedom was the principal organizer of the COLLIER/LEE WOMEN’S MARCH in solidarity with the WOMEN'S MARCH ON WASHINGTON on January 21, 2017, the International Women's Day Rally on March 8, 2017, the NAPLES TAX MARCH on April 15, 2017, the WOMEN TOGETHER FOR FREEDOM MARCH & RALLY on January 20, 2018.
