Vashon Construction is looking to hire a full-time construction worker to join our team working on residential remodels and new construction of custom homes. If you want to work with a crew of skilled younger guys who like to have fun every day while hustling and making money, Vashon Construction is for you! Essential Job Functions: • Clean up and organize job site. • Loading and unloading tools and raw materials to and from job site. • Load up dump truck, haul loads to dump in company owned dump truck. • General carpentry and labor: digging and back-filling ditches, building walls, etc. Requirements: • Ability to lift heavy loads: strength and stamina • Valid driver's license • Reliable transportation • Working cell phone • A positive attitude! General hours are M-F, 8am-5pm. Pay is hourly and dependent on experience and skill but likely $20-$25 per hour, unless you are a truly skilled Carpenter, then we will bump pay up to our higher level Carpenter's salary. Ferry fare to jobs on Vashon Island will be provided. This is not a job where you will be laid off after a project is finished. We are a growing construction company with enough work to keep 6 people for the next two years, at least. We would like all of our employees to have the opportunity to move up within the company. We encourage employees to grow with our company and transform from Laborer to Carpenter to skilled Project Manager. If you have the want and the drive, our goal is to groom you to be able to take the lead on remodels and new builds, with our assistance and resources.
