Semi Driver Dead In Crash On Interstate 5 Near Southcenter

TUKWILA, WA — A semi-truck driver died Monday afternoon after a crash involving another vehicle on southbound Interstate 5, according to Washington State Patrol. Troopers asked drivers to avoid I-5 at the Interstate 405 interchange. Photos posted on social media showed the truck over an embankment, and officials said debris fully blocked the exit from eastbound State Route 518 to northbound I-405. Hours later, southbound backups stretched for miles.
