GREENWICH, CT — The human remains found inside a plastic container in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, earlier this month have been identified as 42-year-old Nicole Flanagan, a Greenwich native, according to The Associated Press.
An obituary posted via Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home said Flanagan was born in Greenwich.
According to the New York City Police Department, Flanagan, a Bronx resident, was last seen outside an apartment building in Manhattan's financial district Aug. 6. Her remains were found in a large plastic container in the area of Hobart Street and Teaneck Road in Ridgefield Park on Aug. 13, prosecutors said.
"She is survived by her children, Aaron, Tayana, and Xavier, Brother T. J. and his wife Lisa, and nephews Patrick, Shane, and Matias," Flanagan's obituary read.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Church Greenwich.
A GoFundMe page was created by Flanagan's sister-in-law, Lisa Flanagan, with a goal of$10,000 to help with funeral costs. As of Monday evening, $6,567 had been raised.
