Press release from the City of Irving: August 16, 2021 The Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22 budget is available for review on the city's website. Two public hearings will be held on Sept. 2 and Sept. 9 for the proposed budget and tax rate. Adoption of the budget is scheduled for Sept. 16, and the city's budget year runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30. This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by $9,068,709 or 5.85 percent, and of that amount, $2,646,495 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year. Call the City Secretary's Office at (972) 721-2493 to confirm public hearing dates.
