LITTLETON, CO — Littleton city staff have recommended the approval of higher noise level limits in the Main Street Historic District.
A temporary ordinance — which allows for higher noise levels between noon and 10 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for businesses — could become permanent on Fridays and Saturdays, the city said.
A public hearing on the ordinance is scheduled for Oct. 5.
City staff measured sound levels throughout the spring and summer, and gathered feedback on the impact of the increased sound levels. No complaints were received, city staff said.
The staff then presented the results to City Council Aug. 10 and recommended that the temporary ordinance become permanent.
