UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA — Cara Senger has gone from being a former Upper St. Clair High School soccer coach to the school's new assistant principal. Senger, who served as girls junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant coach in 2014, will assume her new duties at the high school this fall. Senger for the past two years has served as the 9-12 mathematics coordinator for Pittsburgh Public Schools, where she she oversaw all aspects of high school math curriculum and instruction. She has taught secondary math at the Pittsburgh Public and Canon McMillan school districts and at Seton LaSalle Catholic High School. Recalling her days coaching soccer, Senger said in a district release that she "had the honor of working with young ladies that had a true passion to succeed on and off the field. These student athletes valued the commitment of not only representing themselves well, but they took pride in representing the Upper St. Clair School community in positive ways. "I look forward to the opportunity to work with the entire Upper St. Clair High School student body as an administrator in the district." Senger holds a master's degree in technology education from the California University of Pennsylvania, a bachelor's degree in secondary education-mathematics from Point Park University, as well as a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh.
