Press release from the City of Peoria: August 23, 2021 The southbound lane of North University Street from Lake Avenue to Willow Lane will be closed this week for landscaping and stormwater infrastructure inspection work.   The Peoria Public Works Department has blocked off the right lane to allow for the forestry crew to better access and clear the bushes and trees surrounding the nearby headwall and creek.  Clearing the space will then give better access to the headwall and surrounding stormwater infrastructure so that a surveying crew can reach the area and inspect it. The crew will be looking for any damages or issues that could be contributing to area drainage concerns.  The work is underway as of Monday morning, August 23 and will continue into the week, weather permitting.  This press release was produced by City of Peoria.
