Overnight PCH Closures May Cause Slowdowns

MALIBU, CA — Caltrans will close one lane in each direction on Pacific Coast Highway between the Malibu Lagoon Bridge and Coral Canyon Road starting Monday at 8 p.m. The closures will occur between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. every weeknight starting Monday and will continue indefinitely as part of a pavement project. Delays are expected through the duration of the project. #MALIBU: Caltrans will be closing a lane of PCH (SR-1) in each direction, starting Mon. Aug. 23, for a pavement project. The closures will take place on weeknights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., between Malibu Lagoon Bridge & Corral Canyon Rd. He said the maintenance is important considering the amount of traffic PCH attracts.
