Press release from the Wright County Government: August 23, 2021 The Wright County Attorney's Office announced late Friday that it had reached a plea agreement with Alejandro Vega, 37 of Montrose, who was scheduled to go on trial this week in connection with the murder of Justin Warnke, 34 of Buffalo, on Dec. 29, 2019. Vega pleaded guilty to Felony Manslaughter in the Second Degree and Controlled Substance Crime in the First Degree. Under the plea agreement, which was supported by Warnke's family, Vega will be sentenced to 207 months (17 years, three months) in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8.
