Birmingham Man Dies In Traffic Wreck In Hoover

HOOVER, AL — A 27-year-old Birmingham man was killed in a crash on Highway 119 near Hoover Saturday night. The incident occurred just after 6:30 p.m. near mile marker 22. The victim has been identified as Sergio Romero-Cruz. Law enforcement officials say his car crossed the center line and collided head-on with another car. The other driver was taken to UAB Hospital and is expected to recover. The crash is still under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
