Singer seeks musicians for classic rock band for humanity

Hi everyone, I'm a 34 year old mental health counselor who loves to sing and has been dreaming about starting a band. I am in no way a professional, but have a good amount of range and can certainly belt. I can also play rhythm guitar and piano. I'm thinking Billy Joel, Queen, Starship, Bruce Springsteen...maybe even some Joan Baez or Holly Near in the mix. I'd like some songs to be saying something about the state of the world today. Short term vision: get together and rock out, blow off steam, and have some fun. Long term vision: volunteer to play at fundraisers/events or somehow use our music to bring people together. Looking for other amateur but talented musicians. This is very preliminary so open to/interested in input from others. I work 9-5 so I'm thinking a once a week get together in the evening. Liana
