$13/hr at Popcorn Concession and Dip Booth

We are assembling this year's team to help us operate our stands at the Oregon State Fair in Salem this Friday from Aug 27th - Sept 6th! We have 2 stands, one selling dip-mixes and another selling popcorn and other snacks. We are looking for high energy and charismatic people who can maintain an enthusiastic attitude for extended periods of time. These jobs are not complicated, but if you are shy, please don't apply. Also, being loud is a plus so being able to project your voice is important. See below for job details: Popcorn Stand Job Duties: bagging popcorn, filling beverages for customers, cleaning of concession trailer and maintaining a sanitary work environment, hollering at fairgoers to come and taste the popcorn, handing out samples, assisting with other miscellaneous projects, up-selling customers. We need 2-4 people. Dip Booth Job Duties: handing out pretzels for fairgoers to taste our dips with, mixing dips, cleaning the booth and maintaining a sanitary work environment, and best of all, talking about FOOD! People love to hear about different recipes and uses for the dips, and everybody who comes to our booth is excited to try the different flavors. We have 30 different dips and desserts. We need 2-4 people for this job too. **Both jobs require standing on your feet for the entire shift. If you can't or are unwilling to do that, please don't reach out.** Please wear non-slip, comfortable closed toe shoes (tennis shoes are fine). Reliable transportation required. We will place you at the stand where you fit best for our needs. Some of may end up working both stands... All hires will be required to fill out IRS 1099 form through our payroll provider Gusto and will be considered temporary contract labor, NOT employees. You must be 17 or older and have a valid government issued ID to apply. Earnings will be paid via check, cash, or direct deposit upon the completion of your last shift. We do give breaks: 5 min per/hr worked will be paid, but anything over that will be unpaid (e.g. 20-30 min lunch/dinner break). Other policies will be disclosed when you start work.
