Small Family-Based Apartment Management Company is hiring a full-time or part-time Maintenance and Cleaning Person to manage 80-100 apartment units and houses. For the right person, this job offers flexibility, good compensation and use of a company van. 2-4 years of professional general contracting, maintenance, OR plumbing experience is required. We do NOT want a project manager or some person to oversee general contractors and vendors. We want the actual general contractor type that will actually be doing the work. This person will need to provide maintenance and clean apartment buildings in San Francisco. In addition, this person will be responsible for doing apartment showings on evenings and weekend. Responsibilities: 1. Maintenance - Fix door knobs, replace light bulbs, plumbing and fix a clog in the toilet, run ethernet cables, install keypad locks, change batteries in keypad and alarms, painting, etc. 2. Cleaning - Offer serviced apartments so will need cleaning once every other week. Common areas only. Kitchens and bathrooms and hallways. Building common areas like back stair cases, front entrances need cleaning once a month. All cleaning supplies provided. 3. Apartment tours - These happen on the evenings and Saturdat afternoons only. Take about 15-30 minutes. I will post the listings on CL, Zillow, schedule the tours and put on your calendar. I will also select the applicants which you will provide feedback on. 4. New tenants checkin and checkout - Final walk-throughs and check guests in. Coordinate time of meetup, collect any deposits and bundle fees. Explain rules, set up on wifi, show mail and trash. 5. Service building and tenants - Meet insurance inspectors, make an Ikea, Home Depot, Walmart Run for towels and supplies, settle disputes among roommates, update fire extinguishers tags and meet vendors like boilers, fire alarm certification, toss out old mail and excess trash and boxes Requirements: - 2-4 years of related professional experience in general contracting, plumbing, and/or maintenance is required. - Construction project managers or construction vendor managers will not qualify as maintenance experience. You must be able to do the work. - Must be able to read and speak fluent English. - Must have professional references that you can verify your past experience. - Clean DMV driving record. - Must be friendly. Compensation: - Market rate monthly salary - Use of a company van and tools - Working weekends and evenings are required - Must have professional references that you can verify your past experience. Candidates will need to provide references and full background checks.
