Description

*Yes, this was originally posted a month ago. We've checked with River City Bikes, Metropolis, Cat Six Cycles, Seven Corners, Western Bikeworks--all sellers of Surlys. No matches were found. We're sure the original owner is not far; let's find them... it'll be a Merry good gift to get this back. Updated post below: Several of us are pretty sure; this pretty "Blue Suit of Leisure" Surly Pacer is surely missed! We saw the suspicious imagine on FB--pic with "for sale" sign on this genuinely nice build; What do you do when you learn about a stellar Surly build for sale at downtown sidewalk camp--dirt cheap (relatively)... Go down with a plan to convince them to do the right thing and hand it over (SURE!), or pay the 'ransom' basically, and find a way to get it back to it's owner--before it’s gone for good. We recognized the location, and brought along what a decent stolen (whole) bike begets: a smooth talker, a brawl, or $100. Fwd a few days, bike in hand: The bike hasn’t been listed on either Garage 529, or Bike Index, nor is there a FB page set up. Several local known Surly dealers haven't been able to help either. Can you; know a tall someone who's missing this light blue steed? Sure as it’s a Surly, they’ll be a few people thinking/hoping it theirs. Make it easy, reply with the serial #. Don't have it; narrow it down: you’ll need to mention it's size in cm, the saddle brand/type, and what matching walnut accessories are installed--if it's yours, you'll know. This bike looks as though nothing's been changed--components and accessories all match/seem intact. Prove it's yours and you'll get it back. Preferably meet at the bike shop you bought it at—you’ll know which one, so will I--few I haven't been to. We'd want to get your bike back, and are hopeful it's *mostly* how you last saw it. Surely your lucky day, if it’s your Surly.
