Tree nursery and farming operation near Windsor, Colorado (Larimer County, west side of Windsor) is accepting resumes and written letters of interest for a farm equipment operator and laborer position. For the right person, this could lead into a farm management position. This farm is a small wholesale tree nursery and vegetable farming operation. Applicants must have equipment operation and routine maintenance experience (diesel tractor and skid steer, for example). Applicants must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and solid past work references. Routine work varies widely and seasonally but includes such activities as road grading and snow removal, ground preparation prior to planting, tree pruning and harvesting, cultivation, seed bed prep and seeding, irrigation system operations and repairs, shop work, and related. Working collaboratively with others is a must although some work will be solo. Other skills and desirable experience would be direct farming experience, computer literacy, organization skills, woodworking skills, etc. Work can be considered full time in the growing season but possibly part-time during the winter months as influenced by experience, skills, and availability to do maintenance projects. Compensation will be negotiated based on suitable skills, experience, and references check. Resumes with references and a cover letter should be included in a responsive response.
