Chances are your cat hasn’t ventured too far from there and has found a good hiding spot. Make sure to spend a lot of time just calling/listening for him. Give him plenty of time, at least an hour or more each time you call for him, to calm down and follow the sound of your voice. Maybe that town has a Facebook Community Page to post on. Make sure you notify your local ACO/police dept., vets and animal shelters.
