Piping Rock is a full service country club located in Locust Valley, NY. The club offers the membership an 18 hole golf course, practice facility, Har-Tru & Grass Tennis courts, Croquet, Skeet & Trap, and Beach Club. In order to maintain the Grounds, our equipment must be maintained at the highest level. Responsibilities: · Communicates any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment with the equipment manager · Inspects, diagnoses, adjusts and repairs mechanical defects/failures in various pieces of golf course maintenance equipment on a regular basis · Sharpens and adjusts cutting units on various pieces of mowing equipment · Maintains clean and safe work space Employment Standards: · Ability to communicate effectively and follow oral and written direction · Working knowledge of the proper methods of service and repair of small engine power equipment · Ability to use of a variety of specialized tools · Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession · Assistance in an effective daily inspection and record keeping of maintenance equipment · Assistance in maintaining a clean and well organized parts inventory room · Involved in implementing of safe equipment operations · Maintain professional manner, appearance and hygiene · Knowledge of the game of golf and how job performance affects the condition of the golf course · Ability to learn new skills and advance in their profession combined with the desire to learn and be successful Job Type: Full-time, with full benefits package
