Job Summary:
The Landscape Laborer is responsible for working as a team member under the direct supervision of the Landscape Foreman. The Laborer is responsible for executing construction landscape installation jobs in an efficient manner, promote job worksite safety, provide excellent customer service, and exhibit pride and quality workmanship.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Install or remove sod.
2. Spread mulch, fertilizers and soil amendments.
3. Install edging material: steel, stone or composite.
4. Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and ground covers.
5. Perform construction activities such as: laying pavers, stone, brick, or cinder blocks.
6. Follow all direct orders given to you by your Foreman or Manager.
7. Work as part of a team.
8. Always represent the company’s best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Ability to lift, push, pull, carry 50 pounds of material or equipment.
2. Ability to stand, kneel and/or bend for a long period of time.
3. Ability to withstand exposure to outside weather conditions: humidity, rain, hot and cold temperatures.
Job Requirements:
1. Highly motivated, self-driven, and detailed oriented.
2. Must be professional in appearance and actions.
3. Understands and adheres to company and safety policies, proper lifting techniques, and heat stress.
4. Must be able to properly, efficiently, and safely work with landscaping hand tools and gas powered equipment.
