Rehoming a blue nose terrier

Hi my name is Jetta – I am five years old and I am a blue nose American Terrier. I moved to California one year ago and am eager to find a permanent home. I really would like a place that will allow me to have fun, a home I can continue to learn different commands and provide a safe environment for me. Currently Positive Reinforcement is used in my training. I respond to leave it and stay, recently we started working on my leash time as I tend to get overly excited as soon as I see it is time for a walk. Treats or squeaky toys are an excellent distraction which does help calm me after I see my leash. Or turn your back and drop the leash until I calm down. Though I prefer the dog Beach over the park I have only frolicked in shallow waters. I am kennel trained and sleep perfectly on my comfy bed. I do sneak a spot on a comfy Chair or couch on occasion, can you blame me. Genetics have created a strong physique and I do hear “wait for me” while on our walks which helps me to pull ahead of my handler less. I have been been socialized since I was a pup, however, I have a short play span with female fur friends. It would be best if I can find a home that does not include any other fur gals. My diet consist of fish based dog food, I enjoy chunks of apples, cheese, peanut butter, ice cubes, blueberries and of course can’t help but nibble on grass when taking a stroll. Too be honest I will try Most Everything as I am a growing girl. I love when the ups and usps show up w a package and my Treat I always bark to greet them at arrival.
