Lawn Mowing / Aeration Person Needed - Small Service - Thru Oct 15th

Jobs

Colorado Springs CO

Description

We’re a very small family-owned lawn service looking for someone to help Mow and/or Aerate Residential Lawns through the rest of the season, about the 1st or 2nd week of October (about 6 weeks) Training is provided so it’s ok if you’re not familiar with lawn care as long as you’re capable. We have a great base crew and customers that have been around a long time so we are looking for people that can fit in with our team. We work individually and you would be responsible for your own route with our trucks / equipment, but with communication throughout the day it’s a team effort to get all the jobs done on a daily basis. Work hours are Mon-Thurs from about 6:30 / 7:30 am until all scheduled jobs are complete, some days by 3:30 pm others by 5:30 pm, (usually Four - 10 hour days) it depends on customer load and weather. Our ultimate goal is to be done by Thurs to have a 3 day weekend. Our workload really depends on weather. We keep Friday open in case we can’t finish by Thurs (bad weather). Living in Colorado and constant weather change, the only way we can make an inconsistent weather-based business more consistent for customers is by having accountable, reliable, and flexible people. This is a detail oriented, physically demanding position that requires someone to be always alert and aware of their surroundings. For example, driving a truck and a loaded trailer all day with many different traffic conditions, keeping a routine of making sure all equipment is properly secure, navigating to get the correct location safely, navigating Colorado terrain when on properties, understanding every lawn and customer is different, and following detailed notes/instruction with each individual lawn. Interviews are done outside in the environment we work in to get a visual of our organization, trucks, equipment, and process. We’re looking for signals of patience, teamwork, communication, ability to follow instruction, and being detail oriented on the job. We are looking for proper equipment handling and people who can listen, train, and take care of our investments. We’re ready to hire anyone who can conform to the way we perform lawn care and who allow us to train them in the way that we work. We’re looking for quality help because if hired you’ll be solely responsible for taking care of our long-time customers, friends, family members, and brand new customers that trust us to do everything possible to take care of their property with little to no supervision. Our current guys make $18 per hour, based on things like a clean driving record, being knowledgeable of driving with small to medium utility trailers, the ability to service 12 - 15 averaged sized residential lawns per day, and feeling like we’ve found someone trustworthy to handle our trucks and equipment. We understand this is a seasonal job, and most people are looking for something year-round so this is probably a job to get you through until you start a year round job, but we really need someone here for the full 6 weeks because it could take up to you a week to train and it would be really tough to have to do that several times in only a matter of 6 weeks before the season is over. Our website if you want to check us out is www.intermountainlawns.com You can call our Office number if you wish however our Office Manager does not handle hiring, she'll direct you back to replying by email if interested. A detailed email directly to me, Donnie, who does the hiring will get a faster response. Anyone who emails a resume only will not be considered. We’re serious about hiring someone to pay more than minimum wage to Mow & Aerate grass and it’s nice to read about how serious someone might be to work with us and determine how well they might fit in with our team. It also helps us see how good you are at communication because a lot of our communication throughout the day between crews is done through text. Thank you so and we're looking forward to the help! Details/Requirements: * Weekly Pay * A good driver record and obviously a driver’s license is required. * No Smoking in vehicles or near customer property * Operating residential size aerators, walk behind mowers (no riding mowers), trimmers, and blowers on standard size residential homes. * Bagging and lifting all lawn clippings into a truck or trailer and hauling away. * Be in good enough physical shape to be on your feet and walking most of the day. * Attention to detail is a must, A good looking lawn is all in the details
