Join Columbus Gives Back in volunteering at 2021 Good Neighbors Picnic Good Neighbors of Central Ohio and their annual picnic strive to accomplish the following goals: to create a positive activity for homeless families and individuals, and to educate the community and dispel myths regarding the homeless. In addition to a fun day, homeless families are provided with much needed clothing, personal care items, as well as, shoes, books, toys, blankets, and travel bags in preparation for winter. Where: Wolfe Park, 105 Park Dr. Columbus, OH 43209 What: Volunteers will be selling tickets/tokens to be redeemed alcohol and beer tents during the opening ceremony. When: Saturday, September 25th (8am - 11am) Event Leaders: [email protected] COVID-19 Precautions: Columbus Gives Back is following all recommended social / hygiene protocols. Masks are no longer required for outdoor events but please bring one to the event in case our nonprofit partners require them. Masks and social distancing are still required for all indoor events. About Good Neighbors of Central Ohio: We are a committee of community leaders representing the Greater Columbus area. Our leadership represents the multiplicity of partners dedicated to supporting, planning and implementing a successful event every year. These partners represent homeless facilities, the corporate community, banking industry, media, educational institutions, city and government, professional and civic associations, faith-based and non--profit sector, and senior and youth groups. About Columbus Gives Back: We love Columbus, young professionals, and getting involved! Our mission is to connect young professionals across central Ohio and engage them in our communities through 35-40 social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities per month. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local! As of May 1st, outdoor/patio social twists will be coordinated at the discretion of event leaders and volunteers.
