Established Bass & Guitar/Vocals duo seek 3rd member for thunderous, tight, plodding tunes. We rehearse in New Haven, but could rehearse at your current drum space if that's easier. We have a bunch of tunes loaded into torpedo tubes, ready to disable large watercraft. Looking for a powerful, confident, musical drummer reminiscent of the following drummers/bands: Dale Crover - Melvins Mac McNeilly - Jesus Lizard Sam Bosson - Trash Talk Thomas Pridgen - Trash Talk - Mars Volta Rey Washamn - Scratch Acid Jeremey McMonigle - Young Widows Nick Yacyshyn - Sumac - Baptists Our current tunes have an Albini / Shellac / Big Black vibe, but we can lean towards a Birthday Party / Nick Cave thing as well. Almost a stoner-doom vibe, but without being too riffy. Not looking for a metal-core drummer, but it would be great if you had those chops in your back pocket for emergencies. If possible, we'd prefer a "drummer's drummer," not "a guitarist who owns a drum kit," but we'll take what we can get. Please reply. Send over a couple links of your playing.
