Description

Join us for a fun night of networking, craft beer, dressing up and listening to our speakers speak of bravery & defending the silver lining Bravery, Beer & Ballgowns! It’s W.O.M.E.N’s 2nd anniversary! Join us for a gathering in person on Wednesday September 22nd at Craftroots Brewing, Milford MA as we celebrate being together again and welcome two very special guest speakers speaking about bravery. Oh! And if you’re wondering what the Ball Gown part is - we’ve decided to add a little extra special fun for the night and encourage you to put on your favorite dress, or an old prom gown, or perhaps an fun outfit that you didn’t get to wear yet due to Covid. Formal attire is optional and everyone is welcome but we encourage you to join in the fun! This event is a no charge event. However, there will be a food truck ,“Get Baked Potato Food Company” selling their delicious baked potatoes with all the fixins’. And of course, our wonderful host Craftroots Brewing will be selling their local, fresh and always delightful craft beer. Come hungry and thirsty and treat yourself to a spud and a brew. Our wonderful guest speakers join us to speak a bit about bravery. Bravery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. We face situations every day that require us to be brave in order to get through. Sometimes we tackle smaller challenges without realizing we are tapping into our internal “bravery bank account”. And sometimes life events happen and our source for strength is more obviously requiring us to be brave. Regardless of which resonates with you, we believe our speakers for the evening will enrapture you with their stories of finding bravery through life changing events. They have chosen to defend the silver linings, even through the challenging “crapters” in their lives. Our speakers for the evening include a familiar face as well as a new friend to WOMEN. We are so excited to welcome back the inspiring Christine Soutter with her podcast partner in crime, Jenn Norris. Here is a little about this dynamic duo: Christine and Jenn are two 40-something lifelong best friends who met when they were twelve-years-old in rural Maine. They have both been through horrific life-altering tragedies and have pulled each other out of the depths of despair with laughter, adventure, not taking themselves too seriously and a love of life and all things funny. Christine lives in Framingham, MA, and is mom to four boys; Colin, Owen, Brenden and Devin; she is the president and founder of the non-profit foundation WhyNotDevin to end DIPG, she is a podcaster on SHEnanigans with Christine and Jenn, owner of Meant to Bee ME (http://www.meanttobeeme.com/), marathoner, skier, Uber driver to kids sports, determined to rise and shine every day. Christine often makes up inaccurate song lyrics and verbiage in everyday conversation. Jenn Norris is a Registered Nurse who lives in Newburyport with her husband, Brian and daughter, Molly. She is a podcaster on SHEnanigans with Christine and Jenn. She is a hiker, marathoner, skier and loves to vacation and make up obscure song playlists. She retains a plethora of useless facts, befriends the elderly and eccentric in odd places and will do just about anything for a laugh.
