Age old story, mom, seeking help

I am a mom of three children. I’ve stayed at home and raised kids. I never completed an education or built a career. I only receive allowances for the needs of me and the kids and don’t have access to any further funds. My story is long but I’ll do my best to get to the point. I’m reaching out in hopes that there are resources that I’m unaware of or perhaps other strategies moms have used to leave a toxic situation without control of the money. I cannot rely on any family members at this time and I have no idea where I would even go or how I would support my children if I left. As many women in this situation, child care costs would use most of what I could earn in wages so it would be impossible to afford both child care and living expenses. I’m afraid if I tried to request child support, he would try to take my youngest child from me. The other two, who we have raised together, receive no child support from their biological father. I’m not being beaten, he’s just prone to fits of anger and he’s very unkind to me and the children. He has a bit of a drinking problem as well. I just want my children to have better than this. If you have any advice beyond prayer (which I already do), I welcome your input.
