Free children's book give-away on World Literacy Day, September 8 by Altrusa International of Greater Kansas City at Lenexa Public Market. Altrusa International of Greater Kansas City, Inc will partner with Lenexa Public Market celebrating World Literacy Day with a Book Giveaway children's event as part of Fun Family Night at Lenexa Public Market, 8750 Penrose Lane, Lenexa, KS; 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 8. This is a free indoor event for families with children. Join us as we seek to share a love of reading by encouraging each child to select one brand new book to take home and add to his/her library as well as other literacy centered activities. Geared toward pre-kindergarten through 6th grade children. This FREE event is hosted by Altrusa in partnership with Lenexa Public Market and Hearts for Hospice. It was made possible by a grant of $4000 from Altrusa International Foundation to improve the economic well-being and quality of life in communities that host an Altrusa club.
