Stay connected with WDET music and see emerging artist BlkBok at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul. *Sold Out - Please join the wait list. WDET's Ann Delisi (host of Essential Music, Essential Conversations, and co-host of Don Was Motor City Playlist) will serve as your host for the evening as she introduces neo-classical piano prodigy BlkBok. Ann will interview BlkBok, followed by a musical performance and a short Q & A. This event is a benefit for 101.9 WDET-FM Detroit’s NPR station. When: Friday, September 10th @ 7pm. Where: The Cathedral Church of St. Paul on Woodward Ave in Midtown Parking is available in the lot behind the church, the WSU parking structure #3 at 45 East Warren between Woodward and John R or street parking. Masks will be required for all guests and the event will adhere to current CDC guidelines to protect the health and safety of our guests. This show will be recorded live for a later airing on 101.9 WDET-FM Detroit’s NPR station. Meet BLKBOK ! BlkBok was born in Detroit and embraced Jazz, Hip Hop and Classical music. He's toured with Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, John Mayer and others. During the pandemic BlkBok wrote an album of classical solo pieces.
