All Invited to Community Conversation Regarding Proposed New Elementary School Medfield residents who want to learn more about the proposed new elementary school are encouraged to attend or tune in remotely to the School Building Committee's (SBC's) August Community Conversation. This month's presentation will be held on Wednesday, August 25th at 7PM at Dale Street School or can be viewed online via Facebook Live or Zoom. "The other members of the SBC and I are eager for the community to attend these important meetings regarding the school project," said Jeff Marsden, Superintendent of Medfield Schools. "At this meeting," Marsden continued, "we will share the educational benefits and advantages of the proposed new school and its location as well as review the next steps in the planning process. There will be ample time for the community to ask questions." "Later this fall Medfield residents will be voting whether or not they support the building of this proposed school in the lot adjacent to the Wheelock School. We hope folks will come to our meetings in the intervening months. Dale Street School, now over 80 years old, needs to be replaced, and we plan to spend the time preceding the special town meeting engaging the entire community in understanding all the details of the project including need, costs, educational benefits to learners, as well as the tremendous advantages of the site." The August Community Conversation will be held at Dale Street School or can be watched remotely on Facebook Live and on Zoom.
